Bruce (Rowdy) Taylor has been re-enacting 1880's gunfighting, civil war cavalry; both confederate and union, and Indian Wars U.S cavalry since 1975.

Once you get involved in this hobby, you start studying United States history and can become absorbed in the various aspects of every day life of the settlers, lawmen, outlaws, ranchers, American Indians, etc. and, in essence, become an amateur historian.

Thru re-enacting, you can show the public what life was really like and obtain a better appreciation of what we have now. Also, thru this hobby, I have been an extra in movies and television and also received access to historical information and places the general public is not allowed.
