FrontierGunfighters

The Frontier Gunfighters perform a variety of "skits".

Meet our Members :

Mike Clark "Dusty", Carl Wade, "Butcher", Bob and Ruth Mathis, Bruce Taylor, Steve Kruger, Steve May, Steve Westerfield

Dusty started doing this in the 80's. He performed with other groups but many of them didn't last more than a few years. It seemed to him that politics within the group was the blame.

A few of his friends tried to re-start another group called "California Gunfighters" which was well known around re-enactors. That didn't work so what was left of that group put together another group and people lost interest again so a few of them thought they would put a group together and make it simple. No politics. No president, vice-pres, treasury, no regimented meetings, they just wanted to go out and have fun. They called themselves The Frontier Gunfighters and started doing shows.

It's real simple, the only requirement to get in this group is to have period correct clothing which you can put together yourself, if your on a shoestring budget or can't afford the cost of new clothing, they know ways to help you or they can point you to many outlets for clothing, period correct leather, boots, hat and so on. Dusty's kinda the ramrod of the group and takes care of getting the shows or event to do. It's easy to learn the shows they do and they only ask you to be at the event you commit to.

Frontier Gunfighters is looking for people who want to get into re-enactment of the old west. The group starts each show with a safety demonstration and a talk to all the young ones in the audience to explain to all how dangerous guns are.

So, if you think you are interested in this, give Dusty a shout. Contact Dusty or any of the members and they will answer any questions you have.

Frontier Gunfighters wants to keep the old west alive. Join us!
